This award recognises excellence in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics within the UK pharmaceutical industry. It celebrates organisations that are leveraging AI-driven insights, machine learning, and data analytics to transform drug discovery, clinical trials, patient care, or operational efficiency. The winner will have demonstrated a pioneering approach to harnessing data and AI to solve critical industry challenges and drive meaningful innovation. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Innovation in AI & Data Analytics: Evidence of groundbreaking AI models, machine learning applications, or advanced analytics that improve pharmaceutical processes or healthcare outcomes.
  • Impact on Drug Development & Research: Demonstrated contributions to accelerating drug discovery, optimizing clinical trials, or enhancing precision medicine through data-driven insights.
  • Operational & Business Efficiency: Use of AI and analytics to streamline pharmaceutical operations, improve decision-making, or enhance supply chain and regulatory compliance.
  • Ethical AI & Data Governance: Commitment to data security, transparency, compliance with UK regulatory frameworks, and ethical AI implementation in pharmaceutical applications.
  • Scalability & Industry Influence: Potential for wider industry adoption, partnerships with healthcare providers, or contributions to shaping best practices in AI and data analytics within pharma.
