Partnership and Collaboration of the Year

This award is open to any pharmaceutical company, academic institution, professional organisation, solution provider or collaborative partnership in the United Kingdom that can demonstrate an outstanding and innovative collaboration delivering meaningful outcomes. The award recognises partnerships that demonstrate strong strategic alignment, effective collaboration, shared objectives and measurable impact, whether through academic–industry collaboration, internal partnerships, or external collaborations with other organisations. The judges will be looking for evidence of a strong partnership approach involving clear contributions from all parties, effective collaboration models, innovation and demonstrable technical, societal and commercial benefits. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information, backed up by evidence, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

• Partnership Structure: Who are the partners involved in the collaboration? Are the partners located at sites in the United Kingdom? Is there an international component to the partnership? Please describe the roles, expertise and contributions of each partner and explain how the collaboration is structured to enable success.
• Partnership Strategy and Objectives: What is the nature of the collaboration and what responsibilities have been undertaken by each partner? What are the shared objectives and strategic aims of the partnership? Please outline the contributions made by the various teams involved, including the scale of effort in terms of manpower, time, resources, funding and expertise.
• Rationale and Innovation: What was the rationale for establishing the partnership? Was there evidence of awareness of market, scientific, clinical or societal need and effective targeting of opportunities? What makes the collaboration innovative, effective or distinctive? Please describe the degree of innovation demonstrated through the partnership and its potential for future development.
• Outcomes and Impact: Please provide evidence of the specific outcomes and benefits achieved through the collaboration. This may include research outputs, publications, technology transfer, products brought to market, invention disclosures, patents, licenses, spin-outs, translational progress or advancement towards commercial or clinical application.
• Practical Benefits and Future Potential: What practical benefits have been delivered to the partners and wider stakeholders? This may include accelerated research, skills development, access to expertise and infrastructure, funding leverage, improved capabilities or other measurable benefits. Please describe how the collaboration will be extended, scaled or evolved in the future, including future projects, funding opportunities or long-term strategic alignment.
• Societal, Commercial and Wider Impact: What are the technical, societal, commercial, environmental or other benefits arising from the collaboration? Please provide evidence of the impact created, including benefits to patients, healthcare systems, industry, academia or wider communities.
